Practice information

The surgery operates from a converted detached house. There is a car park with
designated parking for people living with disability.
The whole of the ground floor is Disability Discrimination Act compliant.
There are two waiting areas and 12 consulting rooms on the ground floor.
Occasionally some patient services are delivered from the first floor; should any
patient, relative or carer be unable ascend or descend the stairs safely, then the
clinician will identify a clinical room on the ground floor in which to consult.

Clinicians

We are a small and friendly surgery with 1 Responsible GP as a sole trader as well as 7 regular sessional GPs and GP Registrars working in the practice. In addition to the doctors, we have an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, who can help with minor ailments and prescribe and refer as appropriate.

Nursing team

We also have a nursing team which is made up of 1 lead nurse, 2 practice nurses and a health care assistant. They are here to deal with a whole range of appointments including annual reviews of long-term health conditions, diagnostic procedures, and contraceptive care.

General Medical Services (GMS) contract

The practice team deliver a full range of clinical services under our General Medical Services (GMS) contract with NHS England.

Training practice status

This practice is an appointed General Practitioner Training Practice. General Practice Registrars are fully qualified with a minimum of three years post qualification experience. They join us for a twelve month period to gain experience in family practice. From time to time their consultations are recorded on video for training purposes, however patients will be asked to sign a consent form prior to their appointment, and where preferred, patients have the option to withhold consent.
